UBA of Nigeria’s Nine-Month Profit Increases by 52%, Broker Says

Oct. 27 (Bloomberg) -- United Bank for Africa Plc, a Lagos- based lender, posted a 52 percent jump in profit for the nine months through September, according to Securities Africa Ltd.

Net income for the period climbed to 10.11 billion naira from 6.65 billion naira a year earlier, the broker said in an e- mailed report today, citing figures obtained on the trading floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange today.
