Oct. 27 (Bloomberg) -- President Nicolas Sarkozy said he’s confident that Greece will be able to “save itself” as a result of the debt accord reached by European leaders.
“Greece can save itself, but it has to make efforts,” he said on French television.
“If Greece had declared bankruptcy, it would have been a process that would have escalated,” he said, referring to the threat of contagion to other European countries.
