Oct. 27 (Bloomberg) -- Canadian red-meat inventories on Oct. 1 expanded by 25 percent to 70,570 metric tons from 56,594 tons a year earlier, Statistics Canada, a government agency, said today in a report on its website.
Warehouses held 43,496 tons of pork, up 40 percent from a year earlier, the agency said. Beef supplies rose 3.3 percent to 16,773 tons.
