Bloomsbury 1st-Half Pretax Falls 62.5%; Revenue, Dividend Higher

Oct. 27 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomsbury Publishing Plc, which publishes the Harry Potter stories, said pretax profit was 300,000 pounds ($480,000) in the fiscal half-year that ended Aug. 31, down 62.5 percent from 800,000 pounds in the year- earlier period. Revenue rose 16 percent to 44.9 million pounds. The company raised its interim dividend by 10 percent to 0.89 pence per share.
