Assurant May Have Credit Rating Raised, Standard & Poor’s Says

Oct. 27 (Bloomberg) -- Assurant Inc., the insurer of foreclosed properties and consumer electronics, may have its credit rating raised, Standard & Poor’s said.

“We believe Assurant will maintain its diversified earnings profile, strong relationships with its partners, and further enhance its international presence,” the ratings firm said in a note today. S&P revised its outlook to “positive” on the New York-based insurer.
