Vietnam’s Equity Movers: Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Sacombank

Oct. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Vietnam trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close.

The VN Index, the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, increased 0.7 percent to 412.1.

HAGL Joint-Stock Co. (HAG VN), fell 3.1 percent to 28,500, the lowest close since June 2009.

Unconsolidated net income for Hoang Anh Gia Lai, as the company is known, dropped to 7.3 billion dong ($348,049) in the third quarter, from 568.3 billion dong in the same period last year, it said in a statement filed on the exchange’s website.

Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint-Stock Bank (STB VN), known as Sacombank, slid 1.5 percent to 13,200 dong, the biggest loss since Oct. 19.

Sacombank reported unconsolidated net profit fell to 456 billion dong in the third quarter, from 475 billion dong a year earlier, according to a statement on the exchange’s website.
