Van Rompuy Says It Is Up to ECB to Decide on Intervention

Oct. 27 (Bloomberg) -- European Union President Herman Van Rompuy said it was up to the European Central Bank to decide whether to keep buying the bonds of troubled euro-region states.

The EU had no demands or requests of the central bank, he told reporters after crisis-strategy talks that began last night in Brussels.
