Rosneft, Norilsk Nickel, AFK Sistema: Russian Equity Preview

Oct. 27 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies may be active in Russian trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are from the previous close.

The 30-stock Micex Index rose 2.6 percent to 1,499.79. The dollar-denominated RTS Index advanced 2 percent to 1,530.11.

OAO Rosneft (ROSN RX): Russia, the world’s largest oil producer, will cut daily exports of crude oil from Novorossiysk on the Black Sea to the lowest level in more than three years, according to a loading schedule obtained by Bloomberg News. Rosneft, Russia’s largest oil producer, rose 3.7 percent to 214.82 rubles.

OAO GMK Norilsk Nickel (GMKN RX): Norilsk Nickel’s board of directors is scheduled today to discuss the company’s strategy for the next decade. Shares fell 1.2 percent to 6,232 rubles.

AFK Sistema (AFKC RX): AFK Sistema said it signed an agreement with Rosatom, the state atomic energy corporation, and state nanotechnology group Rusnano’s fund in charge of infrastructure projects for building the so-called technology park in the town of Sarov in central Russia. The park will develop projects in the nuclear, space and energy saving sectors. AFK Sistema, billionaire Vladimir Yevtushenkov’s holding company, rose 2 percent to 24.486 rubles.
