Olympus President Says Woodford ‘Wrong’ on Gyrus M&A Fees

Oct. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Olympus Corp. President Shuichi Takayama said dismissed former Chief Executive Officer and President Michael C. Woodford was “wrong” about fees related to the acquisition of Gyrus Group Ltd.

Woodford has said he was fired for challenging $687 million in payments related to a 2008 takeover of the U.K. medical devices maker.

Takyama spoke at a press briefing today in Tokyo.
