Oct. 26 (Bloomberg) -- German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Greece is at the “start of a long, difficult road” to financial recovery that necessitates help from investors who hold the country’s bonds.
Merkel, speaking to the German parliament before a summit of European leaders today, urged Greece to press on with “painful” reforms. The country may need a permanent oversight of its fiscal policy, she added.
