Oct. 26 (Bloomberg) -- The European Central Bank said euro- area financial institutions borrowed less emergency overnight cash yesterday.
Banks tapped the ECB for 3.5 billion euros ($4.9 billion) at the marginal rate of 2.25 percent, down from 4 billion euros the day before, the Frankfurt-based central bank said today. Banks parked 201 billion euros in the ECB’s overnight deposit facility, up from 198 billion euros the previous day.
