Canada’s Carney ‘Confident’ Europe Will Act to Contain Crisis

Oct. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney said today that he is “confident” that Europe will take steps to contains its debt crisis, but may not resolve it.

Carney, speaking in an interview at the Buttonwood Conference in New York, said he expects Europe to go into a “brief recession” and that the crisis there represents the biggest risk for Canada’s economy.
