Oct. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Swiss stocks resumed their decline as Novartis AG declined, offsetting UBS AG and Actelion Ltd. which rallied.

The benchmark Swiss Market Index dropped 0.4 percent to 5,766.97 at 10:18 a.m. in Zurich. The broader Swiss Performance Index retreated 0.3 percent.
