Portugal to Offer EU All Necessary Information on Bank BPN Prob

Oct. 25 (Bloomberg) -- The Portuguese government is “available to provide all necessary information and documentation” to the European Commission for its in-depth review of Banco Portugues de Negocios SA, the Finance Ministry said in an e-mailed statement today.

The European Commission opened a probe to check if the proposed restructuring of the lender that was nationalized in 2008 complies with state-aid rules, Joaquin Almunia, the EU’s antitrust commissioner, said in an e-mailed statement yesterday.
