Oct. 25 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 4:10 p.m. New York time.
The Lima General Index fell 0.8 percent to 19,307.25. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index slid 0.5 percent to 2,539.52.
Industrial and banking shares dropped as U.S. economic reports missed estimates, said Estefany Castillo, an analyst at Scotiabank Peru.
Austral Group SA (AUSTRAC1 PE), a unit of Austevoll Seafood ASA, fell 3.3 percent to 29 centimos. Credicorp Ltd. (BAP PE), Peru’s largest financial-services company, dropped 2.7 percent to $105.60. Casa Grande (CASAGRC1 PE), Peru’s largest sugar producer, slid 2.4 percent to 14.50 soles as futures declined in New York. Refineria La Pampilla SA (RELAPAC1 PE), the Repsol YPF SA unit known as Relapasa, fell 2.3 percent to 85 centimos.
Copper and zinc miners declined as metals slumped in New York and London.
Rio Cristal Resources Corp. (RCZ PE), a Canadian exploration company, fell 7.7 percent to 12 cents. Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde SA (CVERDEC1 PE), a unit of Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc., dropped 2.2 percent to $36. Volcan Cia. Minera SAA (VOLCABC1 PE), Peru’s largest zinc producer, slid 1.9 percent to 2.61 soles.
Candente Copper Corp. (DNT PE), a Canadian exploration company, rose 6.6 percent to $1.13. Chief Executive Officer Joanne Freeze said the company may sell a 30 percent stake to an Asian smelter to finance its Canariaco deposit.
