Oct. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Jefferies Group Inc., the investment bank that’s been expanding since the financial crisis, hired Goran Avdicevic as a managing director for industrials investment banking.
Avdicevic was an executive director and senior coverage officer in JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s transportation investment- banking group, New York-based Jefferies said today in a statement. He will be based in New York and focus on the transportation and logistics industries.
Jefferies said in September its headcount expanded 29 percent in its fiscal third quarter from the year-earlier period as the firm added bankers and traders from some of the biggest banks.
“Goran’s significant experience with clients in the airline, aircraft leasing, railroad and rail equipment sectors ideally complements our existing client coverage of the automotive and maritime sectors,” Benjamin Lorello, global head of investment banking and capital markets, said in the statement.
