Indian Equities: Delta Corp, Titan Industries, VIP Industries

Oct. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Indian trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the 3:30 p.m. close in Mumbai.

The BSE India Sensitive Index, or Sensex, advanced 1.9 percent to 17,254.86. The BSE200 Index added 1.5 percent to 2,098.18.

Delta Corp. (DELTA IN) sank 4.8 percent to 96 rupees, the biggest drop in a month. The casino operator said profit for the quarter-ended September plunged 96 percent to 49.3 million rupees ($996,060).

Titan Industries Ltd. (TTAN IN) slid 4.7 percent to 215.9 rupees, its largest fall in a month. India’s top jewelry retailer said profit for the quarter-ended September rose 16 percent to 1.48 billion rupees.

VIP Industries Ltd. (VIP IN) lost 7.5 percent to 831.55 rupees, the most since Dec. 9. The Indian luggage maker said profit for the quarter-ended September slid 13 percent to 109 million rupees.
