Oct. 25 (Bloomberg) -- India’s sugar production will rise to 28.3 million metric tons in the year that started Oct. 1 from 26.65 million a year earlier, a U.S. Department of Agriculture unit said.
Exports will drop to 2.5 million tons from 3.2 million, the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service said in a report posted today on the agency’s website.
Inventories will rise to 6.86 million tons from 6.06 million a year earlier, the USDA unit said.
