Berlusconi Told President He Doesn’t Plan to Resign: Corriere

Oct. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi told Italy’s President Giorgio Napolitano he doesn’t plan to resign and wants to press ahead with measures to convince European partners that Italy is tackling the debt crisis, Corriere della Sera reported, without saying where it got the information.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel called Napolitano on Oct. 20, expressing concerns about Italy’s political future, the newspaper said.
