Oct. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Ukraine’s production of refined, or white, sugar rose 34 percent as of Oct. 20, according to Ukrtsukor, which represents local sugar makers.
Output climbed to 1.02 million metric tons from 763,000 tons a year earlier, the group said in an e-mailed statement today. Seventy-five refineries processed 8 million tons of sugar beets, according to the statement.
