Pop Milano Says Central Bank Wants New Board Independence

Oct. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Banca Popolare di Milano said it received a letter from the Bank of Italy on Oct. 22 that requests its new management board to be comprised of independent members who don’t have any links to the bank. Popolare Milano disclosed the contents of the letter in an e-mailed statement today. The bank Oct. 22 elected a new supervisory board, which will choose the management committee.
