Ghana Inflation May Reach Between 8-9% in 2012, IMF Says

Oct. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Inflation in Ghana may reach between 8 percent and 9 percent in 2012, Alfredo Baldini, a senior economist with the International Monetary Fund’s African department, told reporters in the capital, Accra today.

The country faces spending pressures before elections in 2012 and will need fiscal discipline to sustain and improve economic growth next year, Baldini said.
