October 22, 2011

Oct. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Iraq’s political leaders have insisted U.S. military trainers shouldn’t get immunity from prosecution after American troops withdraw by Dec. 31, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said.

“Political blocs have expressed their opinion in this regard that immunity can’t be given to any military presence on Iraqi lands,” al-Maliki told reporters in Baghdad today.
