Lithuania’s 2010 Budget Deficit Revised Lower to 7% of GDP

Oct. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Lithuania revised its 2010 budget deficit figure to 7 percent of gross domestic product from the previous estimate of 7.1 percent.

The shortfall narrowed from 9.5 percent of GDP in 2009, the Vilnius-based statistics office said in an e-mailed statement today. Government debt rose to 38 percent of GDP in 2010 from 29.4 percent the previous year, it added.
