Oct. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Grupo Bimbo SAB won U.S. regulatory approval to buy Sara Lee Corp.’s North American Fresh Bakery business, reducing the acquisition price to $709 million from $959 million.
Grupo Bimbo agreed to sell some sliced bread brands and related assets to meet U.S. Justice Department requirements, Sara Lee said in a statement.
Monica Breton, a spokeswoman for Bimbo, didn’t immediately return a voice message seeking comment.
