Oct. 21 (Bloomberg) -- German Free Democratic Party lawmaker Joerg van Essen said Chancellor Angela Merkel is still opposed to giving the European Financial Stability Facility a bank license. He was speaking to reporters in the lower house of parliament in Berlin today. The FDP is Merkel’s junior coalition partner.
