Oct. 21 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Santiago.
The Ipsa index gained 1.3 percent to 4,127.63. The MSCI Chile index rose 2 percent to 2,276.18.
Azul Azul SA (AZUL CC) jumped 69 percent to 2,055.2 pesos. The owner of the Universidad de Chile soccer team has gained 119 percent in the past two days after the team beat Brazilian rival Flamengo in Rio de Janeiro in the Copa Sudamericana tournament. Trading was temporarily suspended on the Santiago exchange.
Cencosud SA (CENCOSUD CC) rose 2.6 percent to 3,048.6 pesos, its highest price in 11 weeks. Chile’s largest retailer by sales plans to open 25 supermarkets in Peru in the next year.
E-CL SA (ECL CC) advanced 1.2 percent to 1,265 pesos, its sixth day of gains. Northern Chile’s largest power generator received $95.5 million in payments from banks as compensation for contractor delays in two generator projects.
Paz Corp SA (PAZ CC), Chile’s third-largest real estate developer by market value, jumped 7.8 percent to 280.37 pesos. Paz led gains among members of the Ipsa benchmark index after it was reiterated at “overweight” by the brokerage unit of lender Banco de Credito & Inversiones.
