Ukraine’s HarvEast Completes Grain Harvest of 428,000 Tons

Oct. 20 (Bloomberg) -- HarvEast, a Ukrainian agricultural holding company formed by Rinat Akhmetov and Vadim Novinsky, said it completed grain harvesting.

The company, based in Donetsk in the east of Ukraine, harvested 80,000 tons of sunflower seed and 18,000 tons of corn, HarvEast said in e-mailed statement today.

HarvEast reaped a total of 428,000 tons of grain this year, according to the statement. The company didn’t give a comparative figure for last year.
