Sri Lanka Approves 28.2 Million Pound HSBC Loan to Build Bridges

Oct. 20 (Bloomberg) -- Sri Lanka’s cabinet approved a 28.2 million pound credit agreement with HSBC Holdings Plc to build steel bridges on the island, spokesman Keheliya Rambukwella said in Colombo today.

Sri Lanka’s state-run People’s Bank will also lend the government 6.8 million pounds for the project to be built by Cleveland Bridge UK Ltd., he said.
