Oct. 20 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama nominated Thomas M. Hoenig as vice chairman of the board of directors of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the White House announced.
Hoenig, 66, whose nomination was sent to the Senate, stepped down Oct. 1 as president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, a position he held since 1991.
