India Rupee Falls Past 50 a Dollar, First Time Since May 2009

Oct. 21 (Bloomberg) -- India’s rupee weakened past 50 per dollar for the first time since May 2009. The currency fell 0.6 percent to 50.10 per dollar as of 9:03 a.m. in Mumbai, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
