Brainard Says U.S. Engaged With Singapore on Derivatives Reforms

Oct. 20 (Bloomberg) -- Lael Brainard, the U.S. Treasury’s undersecretary for international affairs, said today that “we are intensely engaged with Singapore on our derivatives reforms.”

“We have received repeated assurances from the Singapore monetary authorities and financial supervisory authorities that they will move in lock step as Europe and the U.S. come together on their derivatives regimes,” Brainard told a U.S. Senate subcommittee.
