Chinese Insurance Groups Not Allowed to Issue Subordinated Bonds

Oct. 19 (Bloomberg) -- The China Insurance Regulatory Commission said insurance groups won’t be allowed to issue subordinated bonds, according to a statement on the regulator’s website today.

China cuts the fund-raising limit for insurers’ subordinated bond issues to 50 percent of year-end net assets from 100 percent, the statement said.
