China Says It Would Take Action If U.S. Currency Bill Became Law

Oct. 19 (Bloomberg) -- China will have to take further action if the U.S.’s proposed currency bill were to be passed into law, Shen Danyang, a spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, said at a briefing in Beijing today.

The proposed U.S. currency bill seriously violates international norms and would seriously damage ties between the U.S. and China, Shen said.
