U.S. Requests Public Comment to Improve Insurance Regulation

Oct. 17 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. Treasury Department’s Federal Insurance Office said it is seeking comments from the public in its push to “modernize and improve” regulation of the industry it monitors.

The office requested comments “from policyholders, experts, consumer groups, state insurance regulators, insurance industry representatives and all other interested parties,” Treasury said today in a statement.
