India Bonds Gain as Government May Raise Foreign Investment Cap

Oct. 17 (Bloomberg) -- India’s bonds gained after a finance ministry official said the nation may raise the cap for foreign institutional investment in sovereign debt.

The yield on the 7.80 percent note due April 2021 fell to 8.76 percent from 8.80 percent before the official’s comments were published. The rate was at 8.78 percent on Oct. 14.
