Oct. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Benchmark European coal advanced, heading for the highest daily gain in a week.
Thermal coal for 2012 delivery to Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Antwerp rose as much as 1.1 percent to $120.25 a metric ton. That’s the biggest intraday increase since Oct. 6. It was at $119.70 at 10:02 a.m. in London, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
