Oct. 16 (Bloomberg) -- The United Auto Workers union said its Local 600, its largest local union at Ford Motor Co., voted 62 percent to 38 percent in favor of a tentative labor agreement with Ford.
Local 600 in Dearborn, Michigan, voted 3,255 to 2,027 for the four-year tentative contract, the UAW said on its Facebook page. Local 600 helped defeat concessions in 2009, including a strike ban for this year’s contract talks. The UAW had agreed in 2009 to a strike ban durng this year’s negotiations with General Motors Co. and Chrysler Group LLC.
