Oct. 16 (Bloomberg) -- South Africa’s ruling African National Congress will resume a disciplinary hearing against Youth League leader Julius Malema on Oct. 26.
Closing arguments in the case will be heard on Nov. 3, Derek Hanekom, chairman of the disciplinary committee and deputy science and technology minister, said by text message today.
Malema, who is pushing for the nationalization of the country’s mines, was charged with five other senior leaders of the ANC Youth League after they criticized the government of neighboring Botswana. He faces suspension if found guilty of undermining the party.
