Oct. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Christian Levrat, head of Switzerland’s Social Democratic Party, said he will propose legislation to ban proprietary trading at the country’s largest banks, including UBS AG and Credit Suisse Group AG, SonntagsZeitung reported, citing an interview.
Levrat said the lenders should reduce their investment- banking operations to a minimum, the newspaper reported.
