South Africa’s Trade Minister Says Rand Volatility a ‘Problem’

Oct. 14 (Bloomberg) -- South African Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies said while the rand has depreciated, it is still a “problem” because it has become more volatile.

The government is looking at concerns raised by manufacturers about high port costs and power prices, Davies told reporters today in Cape Town.
