Oct. 14 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies are having unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 11:47 a.m. Lima time.
The Lima General Index gained 1.3 percent to 18,865.76. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index rose 1.5 percent to 2,481.19.
Mining companies climbed as copper, zinc and tin gained on signs of rising demand in China, the world’s biggest consumer of industrial metals. Gold also rose.
Minsur SA (MINSURI1 PE), the world’s fourth-largest tin producer, rose the most in two months, adding 5.8 percent to 2.75 soles. Sociedad Minera El Brocal SAA (BROCALC1 PE), a zinc and lead producer, gained 2.7 percent to 41.10 soles. Southern Copper Corp. (SCCO PE), Peru’s biggest copper producer, rose 3.7 percent to $28.20.
Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO PE) rose for a third time this week as gold increased in New York. The Canadian gold exploration company climbed 2.7 percent to $2.65.
