Megacable Begins Offering Wireless Service With Telefonica

Oct. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Megacable Holdings SAB, Mexico’s largest cable-TV carrier, began offering mobile-phone plans in a partnership with Spain’s Telefonica SA.

A “quadruple-play” plan including three wireless phones, a fixed-line phone, Internet and television is available for 829 pesos ($62) a month, according to rates published today on Guadalajara, Mexico-based Megacable’s website. Calls are free between the phone lines offered in the plan, according to the website.
