GE to Make Solar Panels With 14% Conversion Efficiency in 2012

Oct. 14 (Bloomberg) -- General Electric Co. will produce solar panels with 14 percent conversion efficiency at its new plant in Colorado beginning in 2012, said Danielle Merfeld, the company’s solar product line leader.

Merfeld didn’t say how how much the panels will cost or when the plant will reach its full output of 400 megawatts, during a conference call today.
