Oct. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Vietnam trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Ho Chi Minh City.
The VN Index, the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, rose for the first day in three, climbing 0.4 percent to 412.59.
Hoa An Joint-Stock Co. (DHA VN), a mining and road-building company, advanced 1.7 percent to 12,200 dong. The Dong Nai-based company will pay its investors a dividend of 1,000 dong a share this quarter, Hoa An said in a filing on the exchange’s website, without giving a date for the payment.
Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint-Stock Co. (PNJ VN), Vietnam’s only listed jewelry manufacturer, gained for a second day, adding 2.2 percent to a three-day high of 37,200 dong. Gold advanced for a second day on speculation Slovakia will approve Europe’s enhanced bailout fund.
