Turkcell Says Board Changes Not Voted After Government Objection

Oct. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS, Turkey’s biggest mobile phone operator, said proposed changes to the company’s board were not voted on at a shareholders’ meeting yesterday after government officials said the move would contravene the law.

Turkcell made the statement in a filing with the Istanbul Stock Exchange today.
