Oct. 13 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies are having unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 11:28 a.m. Lima time.
The Lima General Index fell 0.6 percent to 18,449.87. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index retreated 1 percent to 2,427.58.
Copper and zinc producers fell as the metals declined in New York on concern that Europe’s sovereign-debt crisis will damp global growth and curb Chinese demand.
Volcan Cia. Minera SAA (VOLCABC1 PE), the country’s largest zinc producer, fell 1.6 percent to 2.51 soles.
Gold companies declined as gains in the dollar curbed demand for the metal as an alternative asset.
Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, fell the most in a week, easing 1.2 percent to $41.50. Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO PE), a Canadian gold exploration company, dropped 4.1 percent to $2.57.
