Caglayan Says Turkey Tax Rises Aimed at Supporting Revenues

Oct. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Turkey’s consumption tax increases announced today are aimed at supporting budget revenues in face of inflation, rather than controlling the current account deficit, Trade Minister Zafer Caglayan said in an interview with CNBC-e television in Istanbul.
