U.S. Senate Bill Violates World Trade Rules, China’s Liu Says

Oct. 12 (Bloomberg) -- China said the U.S. currency bill aimed at punishing it on the grounds it keeps the yuan undervalued violates world trade rules and will not achieve its aim of addressing American unemployment.

The U.S. should stop using domestic legislation to put pressure on China, Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Weimin told reporters at a briefing in Beijing today.
