Oct. 12 (Bloomberg) -- A Turkish government official threw out an item from the agenda of a shareholders meeting of Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri that called for changes to the company’s board, news portal Borsagundem said.

Lawyers representing TeliaSonera AB and Alfa Group of Russia are opposing the decision, Borsagundem said citing the proceedings in Istanbul today.
